Hi, I’m Kayla Paul.

I’m a graphic designer, web designer and freelance marketer originally from Perth, Western Australia. With over 9 years of marketing experience, I help businesses find creative marketing solutions in the form of branding, website design and social media management.

Having worked both client-side for brands as their in-house marketing manager, and also as a freelancer, I have the unique perspective of being able to see the bigger picture. I see how marketing affects business outcomes. How a solid social media strategy can create deeper connections with your audience, how smart branding can lead to increased brand equity and trust, and how a functional website can be the difference between a sale or no sale.

After a short chat with you, I can not only conceptualise the most effective marketing solution for your business, but I can also implement it with the perfect balance between practicality and design aesthetics. And if I can’t do the job, I’ll happily find you someone else who can.

I do this because when I work with clients, I see their goals as my goals. I freelance full-time - I don’t have another job or side gig, and so I treat my work seriously. So if you’re serious about your business like I am, let’s chat.

 

Some other info about me:

  • I have always been intrigued by people, relationships and societal behaviours, which is what led me to study Psychology and Marketing.

  • But why did I choose marketing over psychology? A few reasons, but mostly because I was curious - I wanted to know why people bought certain products/services over others. Or why we are so loyal to certain brands like Colgate toothpaste and not others? Ultimately, I wanted to find out what the secret formula was to business and that my friend, is marketing.

  • I have worked in the marketing industry since 2015 - long enough to see the rise of digital marketing and SEO strategies, and (now) huge businesses like Canva, TikTok and Netflix make their debut.

  • During my career, I haven’t always been a graphic designer. In fact, my first job was as a waitress/barista at a cafe. My history includes a diverse background including; digital marketing, SEO, copywriting, social media management, entrepreneur (I once sold homemade terrariums), graphic designer, marketing manager and now freelancer.

  • I've worked with a wide range of businesses both big and small, new and established and love the challenge of tailoring marketing solutions for different industries and business structures. Achievements & qualifications:

  • 2015 - Graduated with a BA. Arts, Psychology & Marketing from the University of Western Australia.

  • 2015 & 2017 - Marketing guest lecturer at the University of Western Australia.

  • 2018 - 2019 - Marketing Coordinator for TEDxPerth.

  • 2018 - 2020 - Deputy Chair & Marketing Manager for local charity, The Kitten Nursery Australia.

  • 2020 - KW Creative was born.

  • 2021 - Officially became a recognised Squarespace circle member.

  • 2023 - Moved to Girona, Spain and expanded services to the European market.

  • Today - I have worked with 50+ clients across various industries including health professionals, beauty & wellness businesses, educators & course creators, e-commerce stores, brick & mortar stores, consultants, B2B retailers, home builders, photographers, real estate agents, interior designers, accounting & finance brokers, hospitality & food retailers, academic & research bodies and more.
